 Nature Coast Tilapia is located in Brooksville, FL and is state licensed with the Florida Department of Aquaculture and Consumer Services. Our farm is site checked bi-annually to ensure that you are being provided with a high quality species. Our fish are regarded as an amazing breed. Often we are complimented on the health and quality of our fish.

 

 It all started with a passion for aquaponics, and the construction of a large greenhouse. I added blue tilapia to the system and they began to multiply.

 Tilapia are especially good in aquaponic systems. Aquaponics refers to any system that combines conventional aquaculture (raising aquatic animals such as fish in tanks) with hydroponics (cultivating plants in water) in a symbiotic environment. Many varieties of fruits and vegetables can be grown this way.

 Tilapia can also be a great addition to any pond. They are vivacious eaters , feeding primarily on aquatic vegetation such as duckweed.
